Priority Podiatry

Bulk Billed Podiatry

Overview

At Priority Podiatry Clinic, we know that maintaining healthy feet is vital for an active and fulfilling lifestyle. That’s why we’re excited to offer bulk billed Podiatry appointments for eligible patients across all our locations.

We accept Medicare and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) referrals at each of our clinics. While Medicare doesn’t cover all Podiatry services, patients with a valid Medicare referral may be eligible for rebates on certain treatments.

For Medicare-eligible patients, bulk billed appointments are available Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 5:30 pm.

Patients with a valid DVA referral can also access bulk billed appointments at our clinics.

Medicare Bulk Billed Consults

At Priority Podiatry Clinic, we offer Medicare bulk-billed appointments with a duration of 20 minutes. These appointments cover a wide range of podiatric services, including biomechanical assessments, general nail care, diabetic foot assessments, vascular studies, and neurological evaluations.

Please note that while these services are included in the bulk-billed appointment, additional costs may apply if you require custom orthotics or shoe modifications. Your podiatrist will provide a clear explanation of any extra charges before proceeding with these treatments, ensuring you are fully informed of the costs involved.

Our aim is to provide high-quality care while maintaining transparency regarding any additional fees. Should you have any questions about your treatment options or costs, please do not hesitate to ask your podiatrist.

Enhanced Care Plan (EPC)

The Chronic Disease Management Plan, also known as the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, allows eligible patients to receive up to 5 Medicare-rebateable Allied Health appointments per year.

For individuals of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, an additional 5 Medicare-rebateable appointments are available annually.

Please note that these referrals are not standard letters written by your GP but are specific Medicare forms issued to patients with complex chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes.

Your GP can allocate the 5 visits across various Allied Health Providers. For example, you may use 4 visits for podiatry and 1 for psychologist, depending on your needs.

To ensure Priority Podiatry Clinic can utilise your referral, it must be current and addressed to Priority Podiatry Clinic, Mohammed Al Soudani.

To determine if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan, please speak with your GP.
